I may have a problem when it comes to DIY projects – I feel the need to try them ALL, especially those involving glitter! There is something about that beautiful sparkly look that gets me every time.
Here is my step-by-step guide to DIY Glitter Bowtie Pasta Garland. This DIY may sound cheesy but this project came out better then I had expected.
- Bowtie pasta
- Spray adhesive
Note: When using spray adhesive, make sure to cover your work area so that the glue is contained to one area. I laid down an old paint sheet outside to work on.
Step 1: Layout the bowtie pasta, making sure the surface is fully exposed and the bowties are not overlapping. Spray the adhesive on the exposed pasta.
Step 2: Cover the pasta in glitter.
Note: It is helpful to spray the adhesive in small sections. This allows you to cover the pasta while it is still wet from the spray, allowing for better coverage and more secure sparkles. Continue until all the pasta is fabulously covered in glitter.
Step 3: After the glitter has dried completely, turn the bowtie pasta over and repeat Steps 1 and 2 to the opposite side.
Step 4: After the glitter has dried completely on both sides, simply tie the bowtie pasta onto a long string.
